  By Besiru Enakhimion. Since when I was young till now that I am above 60 years, I have not seen Jagbe town benefit from any of the administrations in Edo state. Even the SHINE AGENDA of Gov. Monday Okpebholo has not shone on Jagbe . Jagbe is a highly populated town in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State. The people of Jagbe are predominantly farmers. They carry out their civic responsibilities in all ramifications. They have always voted in past elections and are already waiting to take part in the 2027 general elections.  Sadly, Jagbe is the only town in Etsako West Local Government Area that has no good accessible road(s). The only earth roads that link the town through Ewu in Esan Central Local Government Area and Agbede in Etsako West Local Government Area are like death traps. Such Nigerians have listed some of the benefits of the force as, a boost in security of lives and property as well as creation of employment, as many Nigerians that will be recruited into the force will decrease the unemployment market. Based on the alacrity with which members of the National Assembly and the presidency are working on the idea, soon the state police will be officially and finally born in the country. Just as many Nigerians have clamoured for the establishment of the new organization, others have been sceptical about it. Some of the fears expressed by such people are part of my message to our state governors in this piece. In all, the establishment of a state police force is supposed to be a blessing to the country, depending on how our state governors and other Nigerian politicians handle it . I eventually left it the way it is above to attract the University and the government to it, for a quick response and solution. Some years ago, vehicular accidents were recorded at the front of the main gate of the University of Benin on regular basis. Some university students were victims of such accidents, that later resulted to riots and disruption of traffic.  It was really difficult for pedestrians to cross the ever busy high way from one side to the other then. The attention of the Management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has been drawn to an online report making the rounds on social media, in which a former staff of the University made allegations of 'destruction of the University' against the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Asomwan Sonnie Adagbonyin.
