HON. ELLIOT INNEH : A MAN READY TO SHOW UP FOR THE PEOPLE OF EGOR CONSTITUENCY

 An Edo adage states that it is at young age that parents usually identify a child that will take good care of them when they become old . This is the case of Hon. Elliot Enni Inneh, the ADC candidate for Edo State House of Assembly election in 2027.

 What the young and energetic politician did recently, is an indication that he will take the people of Egor Constituency to the promised land if given the opportunity to represent them in the Edo State House of Assembly in 2027. Recently, Hon. Inneh personally installed Solar lights on the street that links Okhoro junction as a response to the cry of 'Keke' riders and their passengers who were initially being attacked by criminals at nights . He also carried out palliative measures on  the failed portion of  Ugbowo /New Benin road. The affected area which is the Okhoro Junction axis of the federal road had been a nightmare for motorists for some time now . 

The sight of a trailer load of granites, other materials, workers and Hon. Inneh at the failed portion of the road attracted this writer who out of curiosity alighted from a vehicle to speak to the sponsor who was there for supervision.

Interestingly, Hon. Inneh is the immediate past Councillor that represented Ward 09, in the Egor Local Government Legislative House . 

"I am ready to show up for the people of Egor Constituency any day and time. This portion that is affected falls within Egor ." He responded, to the question on why he sponsored the project.

For some years now, Egor Constituency seems marginalized . Of all the Seven Local Government Areas in Edo South, Egor is unarguably the most backward in terms of development . The condition of the roads in the Local Government is terrible compared to other local government areas. What is responsible for this ? 

 Some residents of Egor who were interviewed by this writer opined that the constituency has not been well represented in the state house of assembly for a long time now .

" I have identified about ten challenges currently facing the people of Egor constituency which need to be tackled through proper legislation, to bring the dividends of democracy we have been yearning for . 

"We have been hearing of Local Government Autonomy, but is it really practical or just on paper ? I will focus on Practical autonomy for Local Government , Provision of health care, Effective security, Impactful  empowerment, Education and Provision of necessary infrastructure . We need good roads in Egor .  I will also support the executive in formulating good policies that will improve the living condition of the people of Egor and the entire state ." He vowed.

While in Egor Council's legislative house, Hon. Inneh occupied the position of the Chief Whip and later became the Chairman, House Committee on Peace and Security.

During his tenure, the humble and amiable politician lobbied and championed motions that will have positive impact on the people of the Local Government Area. 

Some political analysts have submitted that politicians who solely depend on political offices for survival, are dangerous when in office, as they usually concentrate on their personal gains at the expense of those they are elected to serve . 

Interestingly, Hon. Inneh is a young business man who does not depend on political office for survival . Before venturing into politics he was an outstanding importer of spare parts of  Toyota, Lexus, Mini Buses and Trucks . He remains in that business till date and has employed a lot of young Nigerians.

Hon. Inneh holds a B.Sc in Local Government Administration, from the University of Benin and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Portharcourt.

He is an honorable and responsible married man.

I eventually left it the way it is above to attract the University and the government to it, for a quick response and solution.
