'There’s Zero Tolerance For Cultism in Ambrose Alli University,’ AVC Admonishes Students As University Matriculates

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria’s first state-owned university, Prof. Asomwan Sonnie Adagbonyin, has enjoined matriculants who took the Oath at a well-attended ceremony at Ekpoma, that the Ambrose Alli University h  a s zero tolerance for cultism and other anti-social vices. 

Professor Adagbonyin whob started this while presiding over the matriculation and oath-taking ceremony of the 4,051 newly admitted students to the University, advised the freshers “to be focused on the vision and mission of your studentship. Do not be led astray by bad friends; use social media with wisdom and s  hun all evil associations including cultism. Do not de-market yourself or your University.”

The Acting Vice-Chancellor congratulated the matriculants and advised them to "embrace the opportunities that lie ahead, to explore new horizons, and to strive for academic excellence in all your endeavours.” He further told the elated audience that "Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma is dedicated to nurturing intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning” and that the University’s dedicated lecturers are experts in their respective fields and are passionate mentors who are committed to guiding and inspiring the new students along their academic path. 

Adagbonyin said: "I urge you to engage actively in your studies, to seek knowledge beyond the confines of the classroom and to challenge yourselves to reach new heights of academic achievement. Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma prides itself on its rich cultural heritage and its commitment to fostering an inclusive and harmonious environment where every individual is valued and  respected. I encourage you to embrace diversity, to celebrate differences,  and to contribute positively to the vibrant tapestry of our campus community.” tl

The 4,051 new students  who subscribed to the relevant  Oath of Matriculation were drawn from 11 faculties in the University. In closing his address, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Asomw an Sonnie Adagbonyin, warned the new students that by the Oath they had ta ken, they were bound to obey all the rules and regulations guiding them as students of the University and that a breach of the Oath had  its consequences.

Hon.(Amb.)Elliot Inneh Begins Grading Of Earth Roads In Ward 9, Egor LG

(Amb.)Elliot Inneh, the Councillor representing Ward 09 in Egor Local Government Area's legislative chamber has begun the grading of earth roads in his ward.  So far, grading of Obaruyi Street, Upper Medical Street, Oghobaghase Street (Okhoro Primary School road), Ehigie Street and Osasenaga Street ( Enoma factory road) have been completed. According to the energetic Councillor, more roads in the ward will be sand filled and graded. Some excited residents of the benefitting areas came out to salute the youthful Councillor for his good job. Hon.(Amb.) Inneh has vowed to do his best for the residents of his ward, to justify the mandate given to him during the election.
