(Sir) Ifaluyi Isibor", he said: "The news of the death of Hon. Ifaluyi Isibor came as a mixed feeling of sadness for the sudden and sore loss and then gratitude to God nonetheless for the great and decent life that it pleased Him to let him live here on earth. Hon.Philip Shaibu has visited communities ravaged by flood, in Etsako Central Local Government Area of the state, to ascertain the impact of the disaster  in the areas. In his remark, the number two citizen in the state said : "I came to see and assess the level of damage caused by the flood and report back to my boss, the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki. " As a government, we are also here to empathize with the flood victims. We have assessed the extent of damage caused by the flood and I will report to my elder brother, Mr. Governor for us to make appropriate arrangements to have relief materials provided to sustain them till the flood subsides". The University of Benin,  has released the results of the 2023/2024 Post  Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination ( PUTME)  and Direct Entry Examinations recently held by the institution. According to a statement signed by the institution's Public Relations Officer, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, 13,367 candidates were successful in the  PUTME, representing 94% of the total number of candidates who sat for the test. A leading governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Matthew Urhoghide has promised to abide by the decision of his party on the primary of the 2024 Edo State governorship election . Sen.
