Edo North Deserves The Governorship Seat, Not Edo Central

Those stating that Edo Central Senatorial Zone has been short - changed in terms of the number of governors it has presented in Edo State, are either speaking out of ignorance or mischief .

At present, the Zone that has been short -changed, that actually deserves  the governorship seat in the State, is the Edo North Senatorial District. It's unfortunate that some political leaders from this zone are supporting anotherzone because of their personal gains .

List of people who have occupied the governorship seat in the state :

1. Mr. Odigie Oyegun : EDO SOUTH.
2. CHIEF LUCKY IGBINEDION : EDO SOUTH.
3. MR. GODWIN OBASEKI: EDO SOUTH.

4. PROF. AMBROSE ALI : EDO CENTRAL.
5. PROF. OSEREIMEN OSUNBOR : EDO CENTRAL.

6. COMRADE ADAMS OSHIOMOLE : EDO NORTH.

From the above list, Edo South Senatorial District has presented three  governors.

Edo Central Senatorial District has presented two governors.

Edo North Senatorial District has only presented one governor and that is Comr. Adams Oshiomole.

Therefore, for the sake of equity, Edo North Senatorial District should be supported by all, to present the governor of the state through the 2024 gubernatorial election. 

The right candidate to represent the zone is the incumbent deputy governor of the state that has got adequate experience in governance, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu. He will also stand as the first governorship candidate from Edo North to be fielded by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Hon.(Amb.)Elliot Inneh Begins Grading Of Earth Roads In Ward 9, Egor LG

(Amb.)Elliot Inneh, the Councillor representing Ward 09 in Egor Local Government Area's legislative chamber has begun the grading of earth roads in his ward.  So far, grading of Obaruyi Street, Upper Medical Street, Oghobaghase Street (Okhoro Primary School road), Ehigie Street and Osasenaga Street ( Enoma factory road) have been completed. According to the energetic Councillor, more roads in the ward will be sand filled and graded. Some excited residents of the benefitting areas came out to salute the youthful Councillor for his good job. Hon.(Amb.) Inneh has vowed to do his best for the residents of his ward, to justify the mandate given to him during the election. The articulate and vibrant Councillor was in the team of the Egor Local Government Area Chairman that cleaned up the storm drain on Uselu- Lagos road some months ago.
