WHY APC SHOULD NOMINATE SENATOR URHOGHIDE FOR 2024 GUBER ELECTION

The main priority of a political party in an election is victory and the first step towards getting victory is to field  a candidate that possesses qualities that can attract victory to the party .

Winning qualities are usually found in the candidate's tract records. The strength of the population of a candidate's home base can also be a winning factor . In fact some political parties usually pick their candidates from areas that have large population . Such parties believe that candidates from areas with large population will easily garner more votes for them than candidates from lowly populated areas. Interestingly, this advantage of large population favours Senator Matthew Urhoghide.

Edo South Senatorial District has the highest population in the state . Sen. Urhoghide is from this District with the largest population in the state. Definitely he will attract more votes to the APC as  the party's candidate than any other governorship aspirant. 

He has also won elections twice, to represent the District in the Senate (2015 -2023).

He was also the PDP's campaign Director in the District, in the 2020 gubernatorial election that gave Mr. Godwin Obaseki his second tenure in office. 

In fact, Mr. Obaseki used some of the projects facilitated by Sen. Urhoghide to campaign for votes in many localities within the district. 

Electorates in Edo state are very wise now. Having been deceived by some politicians with fake promises in the past, they ( electorates) are now determined to rely on the antecedents of candidates to vote for them in the 2024 gubernatorial election.

The main questions that will be on the lips of the electorates will be, what have you done for the people in the past ? What has each of the governorship candidates done for the people of Edo state? What did the candidates do with the political office (s) they occupied earlier ?

Senator Urhoghide has a good answer to the questions above. He has lots of projects to showcase. He has facilitated at least two projects in each of the 77 wards that make up Edo South Senatorial District. He has given scholarship to 367 students in the district and a total number of 7,423 people have benefitted from Skill Acquisition Training Programmes facilitated by him. The people of Edo South Senatorial District are very wise and appreciative. The provisions Senator Urhoghide has made in the district will make campaigns there easy, with him as the gubernatorial candidate of the APC. 

In subsequent publications, projects facilitated by Senator Matthew Urhoghide in each of the Seven Local Government Areas, in Edo South Senatorial District will be listed.

Hon.(Amb.)Elliot Inneh Begins Grading Of Earth Roads In Ward 9, Egor LG

(Amb.)Elliot Inneh, the Councillor representing Ward 09 in Egor Local Government Area's legislative chamber has begun the grading of earth roads in his ward.  So far, grading of Obaruyi Street, Upper Medical Street, Oghobaghase Street (Okhoro Primary School road), Ehigie Street and Osasenaga Street ( Enoma factory road) have been completed. According to the energetic Councillor, more roads in the ward will be sand filled and graded. Some excited residents of the benefitting areas came out to salute the youthful Councillor for his good job. Hon.(Amb.) Inneh has vowed to do his best for the residents of his ward, to justify the mandate given to him during the election. The articulate and vibrant Councillor was in the team of the Egor Local Government Area Chairman that cleaned up the storm drain on Uselu- Lagos road some months ago.
