Shaibu Pays Condolence Visit To Family of Slain PDP Chairman

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ward 5 in Oredo local government area of the State, Tunde Igbinoba.

Speaking during the visit, Rt. Hon. Comrade Shaibu expressed his condolences and that of his office to the family of the deceased and assured them of support and solidarity.

 "His death remains a great loss not only to the family but to the PDP and Edo State as a whole. I salute him for his invaluable contributions and commitment to the development of our party, the PDP and Edo State.

"Though my visit may seem belated. From day one, the agreement was that I should focus on Edo North when it comes to party and political matters. And going by that arrangement, Oredo was  out of the picture. It was  until recently that I got to know that  no formal visit has been made since the unfortunate incident, hence, my decision to visit today.

"I assure you, the family of our support and solidarity at this difficult times. May his soul rest in peace," the Deputy Governor added.

Mr.Igbinoba was shot dead by unknown gunmen during last year's primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2023 State House of Assembly and National Assembly elections held in Benin City, the Edo state capital.

Hon.(Amb.)Elliot Inneh Begins Grading Of Earth Roads In Ward 9, Egor LG

(Amb.)Elliot Inneh, the Councillor representing Ward 09 in Egor Local Government Area's legislative chamber has begun the grading of earth roads in his ward.  So far, grading of Obaruyi Street, Upper Medical Street, Oghobaghase Street (Okhoro Primary School road), Ehigie Street and Osasenaga Street ( Enoma factory road) have been completed. According to the energetic Councillor, more roads in the ward will be sand filled and graded. Some excited residents of the benefitting areas came out to salute the youthful Councillor for his good job. Hon.(Amb.) Inneh has vowed to do his best for the residents of his ward, to justify the mandate given to him during the election. The articulate and vibrant Councillor was in the team of the Egor Local Government Area Chairman that cleaned up the storm drain on Uselu- Lagos road some months ago.
