Grandson Of Late Chief Inneh Congratulates Betsy Obaseki

The Councillor representing WARD09, Egor Local government Council, Hon. ( Amb.) Inneh Elliot has congratulated the First lady of Edo state, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki on the successful hosting of the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament in Benin City.
He expressed happiness that the 3rd edition of the FIFA recognized tournament was won by the Edo state female football club, the Edo Queens Football Club, formerly known as Inneh Queens.
In a congratulatory message to Mrs. Obaseki, made available to journalists, Hon. Inneh Elliot who is the Chief Whip of the Egor Legislative Arm, declared that the competition has further boosted female football in Edo state and beyond.
He also thanked the state government for sustaining the first female football club in the state, the Edo Queens Football Club.
He solicited for the continuation of the football tournament beyond the present administration in the state.
Edo Queens Football Club was formerly known as Inneh Queens Football Club, founded by late Chief S. O. Eghaghe Izedomwen Inneh ( JP), the Obaraye of Benin Kingdom.
Late Chief Inneh, a Chieftain of the PDP, was the founder of Inneh Queens Football Club and Inneh Warriors Football Club. He also Chaired the Nigeria Female Football Club Owners Association and Edo state Sports Council.
Hon. (Amb.) Inneh Elliot, is a grandson of late Chief S. O. Eghaghe Izedomwen Inneh (JP).
