Tribunal Nullifies Gov Abba Yusuf's Election

The Kano State Election Petition Tribunal has nullified the election of the state governor, Mr. Abba Kabir Yusuf and declared Mr. Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Party the winner of the governorship election in the state on march 18, 2023.

Governor Yusuf who was the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party ( NNPP) was in March declared as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC).

In their judgement, the three-man panel led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan Osadebay directed INEC to withdraw the certificate of return from Governor Yusuf and issue one to Mr. Gawuna of the APC.

The tribunal deducted a total number of 165,663 votes out of the votes earlier declared for Governor Yusuf as invalid , submitting that the affected ballot papers were neither stamped nor signed.

Hon.(Amb.)Elliot Inneh Begins Grading Of Earth Roads In Ward 9, Egor LG

(Amb.)Elliot Inneh, the Councillor representing Ward 09 in Egor Local Government Area's legislative chamber has begun the grading of earth roads in his ward.  So far, grading of Obaruyi Street, Upper Medical Street, Oghobaghase Street (Okhoro Primary School road), Ehigie Street and Osasenaga Street ( Enoma factory road) have been completed. According to the energetic Councillor, more roads in the ward will be sand filled and graded. Some excited residents of the benefitting areas came out to salute the youthful Councillor for his good job. Hon.(Amb.) Inneh has vowed to do his best for the residents of his ward, to justify the mandate given to him during the election. The articulate and vibrant Councillor was in the team of the Egor Local Government Area Chairman that cleaned up the storm drain on Uselu- Lagos road some months ago.
