Police recover a missing child in Benin By Besiru Enakhimion.
Edo State Police Command has reported the recovery of a 12 year old boy suspected to have been missing .
In a press release signed by the command's Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the dark complexioned boy was found at the 5-Junction area, along Uselu /Lagos Road, Benin city by a kind hearted Nigerian and brought to Textile Mill Police Station, Benin city .
The child, Master Prosper Odiase who speaks English and Benin languages told the police that he lives with a woman at Sapele road, Benin city but could not locate or identify the residence .
According to the press release, the Commissioner of Police, Edo state command, CP Mohammed A Dankwara, has directed the Police Public Relations Officer and the officers at the Command Control Room to disseminate the information of the found child to all Area Commands, Divisional Police Headquarters, Formations and the Media for identification and claims.
The press release also contained the appreciation of the Commissioner of Police to the good people of Edo State and the general public for the existing cooperation, collaboration, and synergy existing between them so far and urged them to do more for a peaceful Edo State.
