EDO CENTRAL PDP SENATORIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL KICKS OFF CAMPAIGNS



The Edo Central PDP Senatorial Campaign Council, has formally kicked off the campaigns for the party's candidates .
The exercise was flagged off at a meeting of the major stakeholders of the party in the Senatorial District .

 The meeting which was hosted at Ubiaja by the Senatorial Campaign Council's Chairman, Senator  Magnus Odion Ugbesia on Sunday, the 15th of January,  2023 had in attendance, many influential politicians in the Senatorial District . 

Various speakers harped on the need for PDP to hit the ground running as the elections are very close .  

The Chairman of the Senatorial Campaign Council, disclosed that PDP parades candidates who can win elections in the Senatorial District at any time.  " Sitted in this hall, are the major pillars of the PDP in Edo Central.  We here are the ones that determine who wins and who loses elections in this Senatorial District." He declared .

The meeting had in attendance notable party leaders in Edo Central District like, Hon. Giwa Aigbomere, Hon. Clifford Eneh, Chief Okoror, Elder Johnny Abhuilimen, Hon. John Yakubu ( Esan North East Coordinator/ Dir. Mobilization), Chief Arebun, Joel Aidamabor, Hon. Phillip Olumese, Hon. Peter Oboh, Hon. Felix Ibhade and many other leaders. 

Members of the Senatorial Executive Committee present included the State Treasurer,  Chief Benjamin Ehilenboadiaye (Ceaser), who is the Director General of the Campaign Council,  Asst. State Secretary Barr Lawson Ogedengbe,  Asst. State Legal Adviser. Chief Paul Itua, State Youth Leader, Destiny Omeye, State Ex Officio, Mrs Josephine,  State Assistant Treasurer and Hon. Israel Aguele. Other notable party leaders were Barr. Victor Idiakhua ( Esan West Coordinator), Hon. Chuks Obiyan ( Esan South East Coordinator), Engr. Iyere ( Igueben  Deputy Coordinator) and Amb. Tony Okonigene ( Esan  Central Coordinator /Dir. Media and Publicity). 

Also present from the 51 wards, were 38 ward Chairmen , 30 ward secretaries,  42 ward Vice Chairmen,  41 ward women leaders and 46 ward Youth leaders and many leaders from the various wards.

According to the Esan Central Coordinator/Dir. Media and Publicity of the Campaign Council, Amb. Tony Okonigene, apologies for absence from the meeting were received from Engr. Gideon Ikhine ( One time  Governorship Aspirant), Rt. Hon. Frank Okiye (Former Speaker and Majority Leader, Edo State House of Assembly), Tony Anenih Jnr ( State Organizing Secretary), ESV Fidel Igenegbale (State Treasurer) and Pastor Henry Aimekhina .

Candidates who attended the meeting were Arc. Dr Mike Onolememen ( Senatorial candidate), Hon. Felix Akhabue aka Joefel ( Esan Central,  Esan West, Igueben Federal Constituency candidate), Sir Lewis Osobase ( Esan North East,  Esan South East  Federal Constituency candidate), Hon. Zuberious Edeoghon ( Esan West State Constituency. Candidate), Hon. Thaddeus Irabor ( Esan North East State Constituency Candidate) and Hon, Enahoro Ojiefoh ( Esan Central State Constituency,  candidate).

The meeting resolved to immediately set up the various LGAs and wards Campaign Councils as well as ensure that all PDP candidates are returned elected in the coming elections.
