" If Nigeria emulates Edo,  things will work well for the nation. It's only in Edo State that a Reverend Father was kidnapped and a Muslim went to the bush to rescue him and lost his life in the process "

.The above submission was made by the Acting Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu during the visit of some Muslim faithfuls to the government house in Benin City, in commemoration of Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

He noted that Edo State is one of the States in Nigeria where Muslims and Christians live peacefully and work together for the development of the state.

Rt. Hon. Comrade Shaibu charged Nigerian leaders to demonstrate the virtue of religious tolerance in the spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

He called on political leaders to desist from playing politics with religion as it will certainly  create division. 
" Let us reject such politicians as they don't mean well for Nigeria ". He advised.

The Acting Governor stressed the need to save Nigeria from collapse. With reference to the 2023 general elections, he called for prayers that will lead to the emergence of good leaders that will move the nation forward. 

He said his government has been working hard to ensure the security of the residents of the state, adding that everybody should be security conscious.

On his part, the Chief Imam of Benin Central Mosque , Alhaji Fatai Enabulele, called on Nigerians to chose competent leaders as the nation prepares for 2023 general election

Hon.(Amb.)Elliot Inneh Begins Grading Of Earth Roads In Ward 9, Egor LG

(Amb.)Elliot Inneh, the Councillor representing Ward 09 in Egor Local Government Area's legislative chamber has begun the grading of earth roads in his ward.  So far, grading of Obaruyi Street, Upper Medical Street, Oghobaghase Street (Okhoro Primary School road), Ehigie Street and Osasenaga Street ( Enoma factory road) have been completed. According to the energetic Councillor, more roads in the ward will be sand filled and graded. Some excited residents of the benefitting areas came out to salute the youthful Councillor for his good job. Hon.(Amb.) Inneh has vowed to do his best for the residents of his ward, to justify the mandate given to him during the election. The articulate and vibrant Councillor was in the team of the Egor Local Government Area Chairman that cleaned up the storm drain on Uselu- Lagos road some months ago.
