Police Arrests Four Robbery Suspects In Edo By Besiru Enakhimion.

Operatives of the Nigeria Police, Edo State Police Command have arrested four men on allegation of armed robbery and illegal possession of firearm. 

According to a press release signed by the Command's Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, the suspects were arrested at mile 18, along Benin - Lagos Expressway by a team of police men attached to Safer Highway, Edo State Police Command, Benin City. The Cops who were conducting a stop and search exercise on vehicles found the suspects in a gold coloured Mercedez Benz saloon car with  Registration number Lagos BDG 183 AH.

Names of the suspects are Ailojie Christopher (52 years old), Iyamu Aisosa (32 years old), Idemudia Osatare (26 years old) and Frank Joseph (25 years old).

According to the press release, a locally made Pistol and a live cartridge wrapped in a polythene bag were recovered from the suspects.

The press release also stated that the suspects who have confessed to the crime also disclosed that the firearm was given to them by a member of the gang called Iyamu Aisosa.

" They will soon be processed to court for prosecution". The release concluded.

Hon.(Amb.)Elliot Inneh Begins Grading Of Earth Roads In Ward 9, Egor LG

(Amb.)Elliot Inneh, the Councillor representing Ward 09 in Egor Local Government Area's legislative chamber has begun the grading of earth roads in his ward.  So far, grading of Obaruyi Street, Upper Medical Street, Oghobaghase Street (Okhoro Primary School road), Ehigie Street and Osasenaga Street ( Enoma factory road) have been completed. According to the energetic Councillor, more roads in the ward will be sand filled and graded. Some excited residents of the benefitting areas came out to salute the youthful Councillor for his good job. Hon.(Amb.) Inneh has vowed to do his best for the residents of his ward, to justify the mandate given to him during the election.
