Federal Ministry of Water Resources Celebrates 2022 Civil Service Day.

The Federal Ministry of Water Resources has  celebrated 2022 Nigeria Civil Service Day . Part of the activities in the programme was a Staff procession/Road show from the Headquarters of the Ministry, Old Secretariat, Area 1 to Area 3 Football Field, Abuja. A Novelty football match between the Hon. Minister's team and the Permanent Secretary's team also took place. After 45 minutes of hard tackles, the Hon. Minister's team triumphed in the match. The kick - off of the match was performed by the Special Guest of honour at the occasion who is the permanent Secretary ,Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Alhaji Ismail Abubakar. To honour the winner of the football match, the Director, General Services of the Ministry, Mr. Kayode Adamson on behalf of the Hon. Minister, Engr. Suleiman H. Adamu, FNSE, FAEng  presented them with a  trophy for their outstanding performance. In continuation of the celebration, a Town Hall meeting was held at Peach Vine Marquee, Park Wuy

CP Abutu Yaro seeks cooperation of Edo residents

The Commissioner of Police, Edo State Police Command , CP Abutu Yaro, has called on  residents of the State to cooperate with the Police in carrying out their duties , adding that persons who have information about security breaches or necessary input that can enhance the work of the police should contact them through the telephone lines that have been provided.  He made the call at an interactive meeting with the officers and men of Edo state Command as well as members of the Association of hunters and Vigilante group from the various Senatorial Districts of the State, to review security of Edo State and the general police performance. He said the DPOs and Area commanders of police in the state have been enjoined to open their telephone lines for 24 hours for inflow of information. Police Arrests Four Robbery Suspects In Edo By Besiru Enakhimion.

Operatives of the Nigeria Police, Edo State Police Command have arrested four men on allegation of armed robbery and illegal possession of firearm.  According to a press release signed by the Command's Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, the suspects were arrested at mile 18, along Benin - Lagos Expressway by a team of police men attached to Safer Highway, Edo State Police Command, Benin City. The Cops who were conducting a stop and search exercise on vehicles found the suspects in a gold coloured Mercedez Benz saloon car with  Registration number Lagos BDG 183 AH. Names of the suspects are Ailojie Christopher (52 years old), Iyamu Aisosa (32 years old), Idemudia Osatare (26 years old) and Frank Joseph (25 years old). Environmental Expert calls for immediate actions to protect, restore planet earth

The Federal Ministry of Environment, Edo State Office has organized a seminar to commemorate the 2022 edition of the  World Environment Day.  Speaking at the seminar, the resource person, a Professor of Environmental Chemistry , University of Benin, Professor Emmanuel Ukpebor, said the aim of commemorating the World Environment  Day 2022 is to promote awareness of a clean environment, take Collective transformative action and to sustainably live in harmony with the environment. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu clinches APC Presidential Ticket By Besiru Enakhimion.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has clinched the presidential ticket to fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general election. At the party's presidential primary which ended today, Sen. Tinubu scored 1,271 votes.  He was followed by the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi who scored 316 votes.  Below are the number of votes scored by other contestants: 1. Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo --235 votes. 2. Sen. Ahmed Lawan --152 votes 3. Gov. Yahaya Bello --47.votes. 4. Engr. Dave Umahi --38 votes 5. Prof. Ben. Ayade--37 votes. 6. Mr. Ahmed Yerima --4 votes 7. Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajuba --1 vote. Sen. Rochas Okorocha, Pastor Tunde Bakare, and Mr. Jack Rich scored no vote. 13 votes were voided at the primary.
